This process, which builds materials layer by layer, offers high flexibility, but is slow to print and lacks the surface smoothness of traditional molding. Therefore, it is primarily used in small batches or for high-end customization.

Furthermore, blow molding is suitable for stress relief toys with hollow structures, such as certain squeezable bubble balls. This process uses airflow to blow heated plastic into a mold, creating a lightweight and flexible product.
